CALL FOR PROPOSALS:
- UNHABITAT Youth Fund
- Youth-led: Applicant organizations must be led by young people aged 15-32 years. However, adults above 32 years can still take part in the organization and youth adult partnerships are highly encouraged.
- Legal registration: Applicats must be legally registered for at least one year by the relevant national, regional or local authority.
- Non-profitt and non-governmental: Applicants must be non-profit, non-governmental organizations, UN institutions, governmental organizations and private enterprises may engage inpartnerships with youth-led organizations applying for a grant.
- Developing countries: Applicant organizations must be legally registered in one of the following developng regions:
- Africa
- Latin-America and the Carribean
- Asia (excluding Japan)
- Oceania (excluding Australia and New Zealand)
- Inclusion of girls and young women: Applicant organizations must involve girls and young women in decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- Valid bank account: The applicant organization must have a bank account in the name of the organization.
- Religious evangelization: Organizations that carry out religious evangelization are not eligible to apply for a grant. However, development organizations affiliated to religious bodies may apply.
- Political parties: Organizations that are affiliated to political parties are not eligible to apply for grant.
- Facilitating Organization: Applicants without a valid registration certificate but fulfill all other eligibility criteria, may apply in partnership with another organization. In this case the facilitating organization will enter into a grant agreement with UN-HABITAT and receive the grant on behalf of the applicant organization. Civil Society Organization, local governments or private enterprises may all serve as facilitating grants.

The United Nations Human settlement programme UNHABITAT has released a youth fund in support of urban youth in developing countries with the aim of advancing the achievement of the Millenium Development Goals and the Habitat Agenda. The fund has been established with the support from the Government of Norway.
Who can apply?
Application organizations must fulfill the following criteria to be eligible for grant:
If you meet all the above requirements for eligibility then your organization is entitled to received grants of upto $25,000.

The Ministry of Justice, National Cohesion and Constitutional Affairs is inviting proposals for strengthening the capacities, networking, dialogue, information exchange and involvement and cultural expression in development processes by Non State Actors in Kenya, under the 9th EDF NSA-NET Programme which is financed by the European Union.
Who is Eligible to Apply?
Funding is available to Non State Actors constituted in accordance with the legislation in force in Kenya or in a Member State of the European Union. For purposes of this Call, Non State Actors from Kenya must have been registered for at least two years at the time of submission of the application. Non State Actors from a Member State of the European Union must have been registered for at least three years at the time of the submission of an application. For actions presented by Non State Actors from Europe, a partnership with a minimum of two Kenyan actors is mandatory, and projects shall respond to an initiative emanating from the local partners in Kenya. Non-state Actors from Kenya may act individually or with partner organisations.

What activities does the program fund? Addressing local problems related to biodiversity loss, climate change, land degradation and protection of international waters; community-based assessment and planning; pilot activities demonstrating innovative community-level approaches to global environmental problems; technical assistance and training focused on developing community and NGO capacities; program monitoring and analysis; dissemination, networking, and policy dialogue.
Who is eligible?:National and local environmental NGOs and community-based organizations. To be eligible for SGP support, projects must fit the SGP country strategy and eligibility criteria, and be consistent with the Operational Strategy and relevant Operational Programs established by the GEF.

What activities does the program fund? Developing capacity of grassroots NGOs working in population, reproductive health, safe motherhood, harmful traditional practices including female genital mutilation, and other women and adolescent health issues.
Who is eligible?
Grants are made to international and regional NGOs for assistance to grassroots NGOs in developing countries. International and regional NGOs with links to grassroots NGOs in developing countries can apply for grant funds to act as grant- making and technical assistance intermediaries.
