Our Strategy

To continue being relevant within the current changing environment, requires that Civil Society as a sector has the competence and institutional probity that invokes confidence and that their intervention continues to be shaped by the needs of the societies they represent. For the next five years the CSO Network will reinforce the role that civil society organizations play and continue to play in the region – that of democratization and development.

Our strategic interventions for next 5 years will be to provide support to the Civil Society Organizations by strengthening the capacities of their organization and the quality of their programmes. This is based on a genuine reflection on the nature, roles, achievements, failures, challenges and opportunities found within the sector and that developing and strengthening organizational and technical capacity will maximise the potential within the sector to provide the needed leadership responsive to the promotion of the common good.

Our interventions for the next five years will provide the platform for effective implementation, scaling up and collective action. By clearly identifying our niche, we intend to focus our activities on five key themes which are linked and overlap creating a holistic approach to our role of building one voice and one purpose.

They include:

Competence And Skill Building

Lobbying and Advocacy

Information Exchange

Networking and Collaboration

Resources Mobilization
